Tip on Stolen Property Leads to Meth Lab Bust

 

 

 

 

 

Kaufman, Texas- On January 21st, Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office and the Precinct Four Constables Office executed a search warrant, on a residence on County Road 4131 in Kemp, also known as R & R Circle. A tip received regarding stolen property at the address, led to the recovery of an estimated $10,000.00 worth of stolen property.

During the execution of the search warrant one occupant of the residence tried to flee from deputies and during flight tried to discard two baggies of what was thought to be methamphetamine. A second search warrant was obtained and a search of the residence revealed 263 grams of methamphetamine and a working methamphetamine lab.

Arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance PG 1> =4G<200G, Possession of marijuana <2oz, two counts of Tampering with identification numbers personal property was Brian Heath Marrs, age 36, of R & R Circle, Kemp Texas.

Also arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance PG 1> =4G<200G, Possession of marijuana <2oz, two counts of Tampering with identification numbers personal property was Jody Heather Bausch, age 33, of R & R Circle, Kemp Texas.

Both remain in the Kaufman Law Enforcement Center with bond set at $750,000.00 for Mr. Marrs, and bond set at $710,000.00 for Ms. Bausch.
