Grand Jury Returns Two Indictments For Murder

January 13, 2010

Kaufman, Texas – A Kaufman County Grand Jury returned two separate indictments for Capital Murder, on January 13, 2010, in connection with a November 2009 double homicide.

Martin McKee, 37, of Farmers Branch, and Virginia Gail Youngblood, 49, of Dallas, were indicted for Capital Murder.

On November 10, 2009, a resident jogging in the early morning hours, reported what she thought were two bodies in the ditch on County Road 280, just off Farm to Market Road 987, in the Post Oak Bend area.  Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office Crimes Against Persons investigators later identified the victims as Fiona K. Olander, of Addison, and her ten- year- old daughter, Korryn Threadgill. 

Both McKee and Youngblood could face life in prison without parole, or the death penalty if convicted.

Also, on December 18, 2009, Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office investigators arrested a third suspect in this case. Billy Wayne Taylor, 55, of Dallas, has been charged with Tampering/ Fabricating Physical Evidence with intent to impair a criminal investigation. The charge is a third degree felony, punishable by a fine of up to $10,000.00 and two to ten years in prison.

Mr. Taylor is currently being held at the Kaufman County Law Enforcement Center with bond set at $150,000.00.

Both McKee and Youngblood still remain in the Kaufman County Law Enforcement Center without bond.
