Kaufman Texas, -Kaufman County Sheriffs Office personnel enjoyed a beautiful day connecting with members of the community during this years Scarecrow Festival Saturday October 22nd. The Courthouse Square in Kaufman was bustling music, food and festivities. Sheriff’s Office personnel look forward to using this festival to interact with the younger community members.
Handing out over 500 bags filled with drug safety education, Frisbees, pencils, drinking cups, coloring books, as well as a whole host of safety information, Sheriff’s Office personnel felt this year’s festival was a huge success.
The booth was manned by Lt. Bruce January, Sgt. Broocke Hammer, Sgt. Ella Pierce, PIO Pat Laney, and Custodian of Records, Robin King. The Kaufman County Emergency Communications Mobile Command Post was also available for tour.
Continuing with the Motto: “Together we can make a difference,” we look forward to seeing each of you next year.
