Kaufman, Texas –On Monday August 30th, at 9:27 a.m., the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in reference to a kidnapping. The suspect, Johnny Lee Speed, age 28, of Pickton Texas entered a residence located in the 1300 block of Country Lane, without permission, and started an altercation. The situation rapidly turned grave with the suspect kidnapping Aumalia Alicia Boner, age 28, of Kaufman. Speed was quickly located at a nearby residence. The suspect was apprehended without incident through a combined effort of Kaufman County Constables, DPS, and Kaufman County deputies.
Ms. Boner was transported to a local hospital for medical attention. Mr. Speed was arrested and charged with Burglary of a building, and Aggravated Kidnapping.
Mr. Speed was transported to the Kaufman County Law Enforcement Center, where he remains in custody.
