SHERIFFS’ ASSOCIATION AWARDS SCHOLARSHIP

Kaufman, Texas – Each year the Sheriffs’ Association of Texas offers scholarships to eligible studentspursuing an academic degree at a college or university. One of the scholarships for the Spring 2010 Semester has been awarded to Brandon S Crow, son of Scott Crow; U.S. Department of Federal Bureau of Prisons, RN Infection Control, and Felicia Crow of Kemp, Texas.

Sheriff David A Byrnes presented the scholarship funds award, to Brandon on Saturday April 17, 2010, at the Kaufman County Law Enforcement Center. Brandon attends East Texas Baptist University.

Sheriff Byrnes praised Brandon for his excellent academic accomplishments, and encouraged him to continue forward in his pursuit of his degree.

In addition to the scholarships offered by the Sheriffs’ Association, several others are made available through the generosity of individuals or other organizations. These funds are managed by the Sheriffs’ Association of Texas for award to qualified students. The scholarships are awarded in the spring and fall of each year.
