Kaufman, Texas –On Friday April 23, 2010, Kaufman County investigators had just finished up working a case. Stopping at the red light coming through the City of Kaufman, they noticed two subjects standing on the corner of highway 34 and highway 175 soliciting concert tickets for a night club in the Kaufman area. The subjects bellowed concert tickets $30.00, and one of the investigators yelled how about two tickets and a $20.00 sack of weed. One of the subjects yelled back $80.00. The investigators turned around and met with the subjects and set up a time and place to come back for the drugs.
Investigators later received a call a short time later, that the suspected narcotics and the concert tickets were ready for pickup. Arrested for Delivery of Marijuana > ¼ oz. < = 5 lbs. were Jacob Arthur Munger, age 19, of Kaufman, Kasey Matthew Cates, age 20, of Kaufman, and Rolando Ponce Jr., age 20, of Kaufman. All three suspects were transported to the Kaufman County Law Enforcement Center, where bond was set at $10,000.00 for Mr. Munger, and Mr. Ponce. Mr. Cates bond was set at $10,000.00 and is currently being held for an outstanding warrant for another agency.
