A Tribute to Patricia Belvin

Kaufman, Texas – Sadly on Wednesday May 19, 2010, Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office, lost one of their own. Patricia lost her battle with Leukemia. Patricia Belvin, age 56, was part of our family. Patricia started with the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office on May 31, 2004 and she fulfilled the position of Detention Officer at the Kaufman County Law Enforcement Center. Patricia was part of our day shift team for almost five years. She was an energy filled, intelligent, positive person, as well as professional, and friendly. She also sincerely enjoyed whomever she was around. Patricia always went out of her way to make sure she went above and beyond what was expected of her, always offering to help out. She displayed a great sense of joy and love for life.

How fortunate we at the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office are to have been associated with her in the time she spent with us.

To the family of Patricia Belvin, please know that her enthusiasm for the people she loved, her sense of humor, her ability to make those around her feel special, and her eternal optimism will be sorely missed.

With Deepest Sympathy,

Sheriff David Byrnes &

The Officers and Staff of the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office
