During the arrest, investigators observed in the residence a chrome diamond plated truck tool box, along with other property thought to be from the Kaufman burglary. Not far from the residence, investigators also recovered a 2004 F250 Crew Cab pickup truck taken during the Kaufman burglary.

Arrested and charged with theft of stolen property >=$500<$1500 was Patrick Carrier, age 23, of Scurry. Also arrested was Christine Beaird, age 36, of Scurry. Ms. Beaird was arrested on an Aggravated Assault/with Serious Bodily Injury/Family Violence warrant out of Kaufman County.

Both Mr. Carrier and Ms. Beaird were taken to the Kaufman County Law Enforcement Center, where bond was set at $1500 for Mr. Carrier, and a $25,000 bond was set for Ms. Beaird, who was later transferred to Dallas County Sheriffs’ Department on an outstanding warrant.

Kaufman County investigators expect further arrests to be made in this case.
