Drive by Shooters Arrested

 Terrell Texas, - On Sunday, June 3, 2012, at approximately 8:48 am. Kaufman County deputies responded to a call regarding an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The victim reported to deputies that while he was traveling down FM 429 north, a white Chevrolet Suburban with Oklahoma tags passed his vehicle on the left side of the roadway. The victim reported that a male passenger was hanging out the window and pointed a handgun at him and his child and fired two rounds, both striking his vehicle in the windshield and the driver window of his truck, with one grazing his left shoulder. The victim stated he followed the suspects onto East Bound Highway 80.

Kaufman County deputies were quickly able to locate the suspects’ vehicle, and then a pursuit followed. Assisted by the Wills Point Police Department deputies pursued the suspects into the city limits of Wills Point with the suspects topping speeds of over 100 mph.  As the suspect’s vehicle turned onto FM 47 and headed to North 4th Street they were confronted with a dead end street. They continued fleeing driving through residential yards still attempting to flee. The suspects continued their flight traveling down FM 47 where they turned onto FM 2324 into Rains County. The suspects then traveled on to Point Texas, onto Highway 69 where Kaufman County deputies, DPS, Rains County Sheriff’s deputies as well as Wills Point Police Department were waiting and pursuing the two. The chase ended at that time, with both suspects being taken into custody.

 The Wills Point Police Department reported a similar incident with a vehicle matching the description of the suspect’s vehicle earlier in the morning hours.

Arrested and charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Possession of a Dangerous Drug, Evading Arrest Detention with a vehicle were Nickey Lynn Anderson, 29, of Oklahoma and Amber Denise Morrow, 23, also of Oklahoma. Both suspects were also wanted out of Pushmataha Oklahoma for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Both suspects were transported to the Kaufman County Law Enforcement Center. Bond for Anderson is set at $4,225,000.00. The bond for Morrow is set at $1,210,000.00.
