Kaufman Texas, - A combined effort by the Van Zandt County Sheriffs Office and Kaufman County deputies resulted in the apprehension of Lance Edmond Glasscock, 44, of Mabank Texas.
On January 16, 2011 Kaufman County deputies received a call from Van Zandt County Sheriffs Office regarding a suspect that had fled a traffic stop in Kemp, and escaped on foot. Glasscock was seen being picked up in a Gray Mazda minivan. After receiving a description of the vehicle that Glasscock fled in, Kaufman County deputies quickly located the vehicle traveling on State Highway 34.
When Kaufman County deputies stopped the vehicle, Glasscock was found lying in the back floor board of the vehicle. During the search of Glasscock, he was found to be in possession of what was believed to be methamphetamines. He was arrested without incident and transported to the Kaufman County Law Enforcement Center where he is charged with Possession of a controlled substance, as well as Unlawful Possession of a firearm by felon, out of Van Zandt County. Bond is set at $110,000.00.
