Windmill Farms, Texas, - On November 10, 2012 at approximately 9:21 am. Kaufman County Deputies responded to a security check call at a residence in the Windmill Farms addition. When deputies arrived they noticed water coming out from the garage, front door and all sides of the slab of the residence.
Deputies fearing that the home owner was either injured or deceased dispatched Forney Fire Department to the location to aid in shutting the water off and for medical attention if needed.
Upon opening the back door of the home, deputies announced their presence and from the back door way could see marijuana plants with grow lights. The Kaufman County Sheriff’s Narcotics investigators were able to enter the residence, after getting a search warrant. Investigators and deputies found no one home, but did find over 200 marijuana plants each approximately 36 inches tall growing throughout the home.
This case is still under investigation, with more information being released at a later date.
