Part-time Telecommunicator - $25/hr

3QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must possess TCOLE Telecommunicator License
  • Completed and documented FTO program
  • Pass comprehensive background

WORK HOURS

  • Part-time employees are strictly limited to 24 hours a week, with the week beginning on Monday and ending on Sunday
Starting Pay $25.00 hr.
Communications - $51,794 Base Pay

DUTIES:

  • Answer a multi-line phone system for both emergency and administrative calls
  • Receives complaints from public concerning crimes and police/fire/medical emergencies
  • Operate a multi-channel radio system to receive and transmit pertinent information on calls for service to responding units; maintains the location and status of all units
  • Operate Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system to input, retrieve, and store calls for service data
  • Utilize State and National databases (NCIC/TCIC) to input and retrieve confidential information such as warrants, missing person, protective orders, stolen vehicles and property
  • Conducts computerized searches through local, state, and national databases
  • Testify in court when required
  • Required to report to work punctually, work 12 hour shifts, including weekends, holidays, and on call status

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Will be issued a temporary Telecommunicators License by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement which is active for 1 year. The officer must be able to obtain a Permanent Telecommunicators License issued by the Texas commission on law Enforcement for continued employment
  • Must receive and maintain certifications for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification, National and Texas Crime Information Center (NCIC/TCIC), and Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS)
  • Applicant must pass pre-employment testing, background check, drug, physical, and psychological testing
  • Must have basic knowledge & computer skills

Patrol Deputy - $61,000 Base Pay

DUTIES:

  • Enforce and uphold local, state & federal laws
  • Patrol, prevent, detect and deter crime
  • Respond to 911 & non-emergency for service
  • Participate in community based police activities and programs
  • Perform all aspects of law enforcement duties including, investigation, community services, & administrative tasks
  • Manage emergencies with good judgement and decision making
  • Complete accurate, detailed reports

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Valid Texas Drivers License with insurable driving record
  • Must be TCOLE Certified Peace Officer
  • Must have basic knowledge & computer skills
  • Fitness level to perform job function
  • Visual acuity correctable to 20/20 vision
  • Normal hearing ranges

Detention Officer - $51,794 Base Pay

EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Class C Drivers Texas License
  • Licensed TCOLE Basic Jailer Certification must be obtained within 1 (one) year of hire date. (KSO will train)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Fitness level to perform job
  • Visual accuity correctable to 20/20 & normal hearing ranges
  • Ability to lift 10-20 lbs frequently and 20-50 lbs occasionally
  • Work shift hours, weekends, holiday and be on call
